Making Sense of Addiction
The mission of Thrive treatment is to help our clients initiate a profound and positive change in their lives. Sobriety is just one aspect of this. It is our job to help clients see how their addiction is part of a larger system of emotional, psychological and social difficulties that they have been struggling with for longer than they have been using.
In that sense, we see all addictions as dual diagnoses. While many of these underlying issues are visible to clients and their loved ones, there are often other aspects of their inner lives that cannot be seen. Our goal is to help clients develop insight into these defense mechanisms, believing that insight is the best way to instigate positive and lasting change.

Recovery – It’s a Beautiful Thing
New Found Life is located in a beautiful area overlooking the ocean, providing a serene setting that is conducive to recovery. Although chemical dependence is the primary diagnosis for all our clients, our comprehensive, no-nonsense program of recovery includes psychiatric care, individual and group counseling, individual therapy, education, life skills training, yoga classes, planned recreation, in house 12-Step meetings, and a growth schedule based on all aspects of recovery. Since evidence based research shows that the longer a person stays in treatment the better their chance for lasting recovery, we offer several different levels of treatment designed to give the optimum of care with a gradual reentry into the challenges of living life on life’s terms.
We offer Residential (primary and extended), Outpatient and Sober Living Programs. We are very proud of our nationally recognized monthly Family Program. This family weekend is a great opportunity for family members to receive information about the nature of addiction and its effects on the family. The weekend consists of multi-family groups, an educational forum, equine therapy, 12-Step meetings, and off-site pass time with family members. There is also the opportunity to schedule individual family counseling.
